“Google it”… Have you ever been in a new area and wondered what was available? What was the first thing that came to your mind? I would have to assume that it wasn’t to look in a newspaper or search the directory of a phone book.
Julie and I moved back from San Diego to small town South Dakota to find that phone books and newspapers were still being utilized as the main marketing for local businesses. Four years later we still struggle finding valuable information about local businesses. Recently we stumbled upon Buzzards Bar & Grill in Pukwana, SD. It served fantastic food, had a huge outdoor patio seating area, sand volleyball court… It was great! The only problem was that it had already been open for a couple years, and we never really knew about it.
These treasures are located all over small town America. Small businesses that are great at the services they provide but may need a little help getting their services advertised to potential customers. “Google it”!
Potential customers are searching Google, they are not searching Facebook, the phone book or the local newspaper. If you are using Facebook as your only online presence, it’s not enough. Your customers expect to find a website when they search for you. If they can’t find one for your business, they have moved on to your competitors website. Get on Google.
